SPS was built around a straightforward conviction: protection is a planning discipline. Officers matter enormously, but they are the last line — the work that keeps a client safe usually happens days before anyone deploys.
We assess the environment, plan the movement, prepare the people and keep one line of accountability open to the client throughout. The result is a service that is deliberately quiet, and that fits into a client's life and operations rather than reorganising them.

Strength

Because SPS sits within The Quagga Group of Companies, protective personnel, journey management, medical capability and security technology can be planned together and delivered under one arrangement — without the client managing four suppliers.

SMS is a separate company within The Quagga Group of Companies, focused on medical training, medical support and operational medical capability.
For protective work this matters in a practical way: where a client's risk profile calls for it, medical capability can be planned into the protective task from the outset rather than added afterwards.
Where we work
African operations, African understanding.
SPS is based in Gauteng, South Africa and operates principally in South Africa, with regional experience across southern Africa — Botswana, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Eswatini, Mozambique, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Working in this region is not the same as working elsewhere. Distances are long, response is uneven, borders take time and infrastructure varies within a single journey. Plans that ignore that are plans that fail quietly.
